U.S. Chess Mates
Summer Camp 2019
Summer is arriving fast and we have some awesome camps for our
students. U.S. Chess Mates will be offering chess at the following
camps. Each week will include: sports, arts and crafts, chess, daily
water activities, chess tournaments and themed fun. Save now by

Week 1: June 3 - 7 2019
Students will create weather systems and see how unique plants and animals survive and
flourish in this climate. Fun art projects and themes.
Week 2: June 10 - 14, 2019
Come dive into the ocean with us! Lets identify plants, animals and lean about tides. Hands
on fun, with activities built around the ocean and the deep unknown.
Week 3: June 17 - 21, 2019
Outer Space and Rockets:
Come join us to learn about stars, planets and how to get into space. Each child will build a
rocket, design its patterns and launch it into the air. Students will keep their rockets at the
end of the week.
Week 4: June 24 - 28, 2019
Students will learn about catapults. Each student will choose a design and make a mini
catapult to keep. In addition students will break into teams and create their own real life
catapult to launch water balloons at targets.
Week 5: July 1 - July 5, 2019
All students will learn about aerodynamics and how planes and drones work. Each students
will build a plane and test the flight pattern of each plane. Students will also learn how to fly
drones through the air and an obstacle course.
Week 6: July 8 - July 12, 2019
Secret Spy School:
Students will learn how to use tricks of the trade. Learn to write secret messages, learn to
write secret messages, walk tight lines and hide toys and secret notes in plain sight.
Week 7: July 15 - July 19, 2019
Legos are awesome! Learn to build unique designs, use our large inventory of legos to build
staw wars, kingdoms and more. Over 200 lego sets will be built this week. Pictures and fun
will be available for all.
Week 8: July 22 - July 26, 2019
Come explore the world of video games and how they have changed. We will start the
students off with the original Atari and Nintendo and move our way through the years.
Talking about platforms and new graphic designs.
Week 9: July 29 - August 2, 2019
Learn how robotics have changed our world. Explore the programming and mechanics it
takes to build robots. All students will build a robot they they can keep and take home for

All students will learn to build a new craft everyday. Tablet holder, mini launchers, wallets
made from tape and more. Students will love using their hands to create their own
